285/25 may be way too thin. The So. Cal. bros have them. But they are ballers.

Congrats!! Got to wk right after you left. wk seems to think that the eibachs are stiffer than h&r, though

I have 31.5/33 .. I tried 34.5 front and noticed much bumpier. (This is cold-ish tire temp, not fully warmed up.. during winter (=cold now in summer)
On you 20" bros rims, about +0.6 to 1 maybe? .. its trial and error I am Pzero nero 19 225/45 and conti DW 255/40 Shops tend to over inflate low profile, and underinflate the luxury cars |

Look great guys! I've been on the fence about a drop as well... 50/50 on if I should do it or not... I don't have dhp so not sure if it will have similar end results as you...
Mlai/cwong - did you guys get our eibach done at wk? Did they remove the rear bench or just the speaker cover? I'm a bit weary of removing a lot of parts and introducing a tone of rattles in the cabin..... |

As said, not much ride comfort is sacrificed. On regular road surface it's not noticeable. You can feel the difference on really significant road imperfections or bumpers in car park for example. Cornering is much better though I haven't really tried it seriously due to weather. All in all I'm very happy with this mod. I haven't tried H&R before so can't tell the difference. WK said Eibach is stiffer but CKH (Eibach's distributor) said Eibach is softer.... I'll try to post pics after I change the wheels next week. |

H&R is def. stiffer and lower than Eibach. I used both for my ex cars, while I have to replace with Koni shocks for the H&R, after 2.5 years. You can run Eibach with stock shocks for 2.5 years (say 30-40K km), it won't hurt you so much. I personally like H&R more, but if comfort is first priority, I would take Eibach. Both are x100 better than oem. Highly recommend for spring or coilover change for F10. |

Took the car for a mid-night run to airport and back. Seems the lower tyre pressures reduced drastically vibrations in the car at speed. Went to 140km/h. Can feel very faint vibrations but I will give the balancing and pressure adjustment a pass.
Car is definitely stiffer than stock but feels like what a sport sedan should be. A little taunt, a little bit road feel, and feeling planted on the road Now this is what the F10 should feel at stock! Tomorrow night will really try the stubbs road, and maybe a run to the south side to push cornering

Good adjustment. So what's your tyre pressure for front and rear? 32 (front) & 34 (rear)? |

Grab the last big of sun light today and took these pics right before 7pm.
Hopefully, will give a better picture (no pun intended) on the Eibach drop. Front Gap: Rear Gap: You can see that the front has a slightly wider gap (2.5 fingers, measured around 35mm), and the rear only has 2-finger (approx 27mm) worth of gap. So far this is pretty perfect for me, as they were 4.5 fingers wider before And I wasn't looking for a slammed looked. I do have to slow down going thru speed bumps and up ramps at my garage now Complete side view: As a comparison, this is with OEM springs: Last edited by mlai; 06-19-2011 at 07:34 AM.. |

Thx mlai for the pics. There doesn't seem to be a lot of difference between the eibach vs H&R in terms of the drop. For me the front is slightly lower than the rears.

H&R drops lower, but not slammed. Less than 2 fingers for front and rear. Personally I like to be a little lower, may be 1 finger. But it's cool for now. mlai, what happened to your BMW center caps. Drove too fast last night and fell off?

I'm very happy with the performance. Got my first scratch on the chin today! Really need to slow down to a crawl going over speed bumps!
