To revive the bass, pdrf10 was spot on with his assessment of the BSW subs and install. Those enclosures are tough with which to deal - best to leave them and drop in sub if possible. My experience is with an e90, in which I installed Stage 1 and 2 - installed the woofers late last year. In the e90, BavSound comes to life with more volume. In the base hi-fi system, which I had in the e90, I did not even want to listen to music in the 328 - rotten. BavSound is an improvement at regular volume and truly comes to life with more volume. I was surprised how the car rocks from the outside - it go boom, and it's not that loud. Bass really picks up. The stock subs were MIA to the ears ... not any longer.
I am about to pull trigger in the 2014 F10, although I do have HK. Sound just seems slightly muffled and fatigues the ears - it's good but not real good or pleasing. The only reason I did not pull the trigger the day afer purchase (2 weeks ago), is that I typically do not turn up the volume, and only do so when I'm alone. HK is tolerable at lower volume levels. IOW, Heaven Can Wait until other priority mods are installed - Dinan Sport, Suspension... etc. |
