Damn potholes..

Had to share... I baby my 535 - hit a bad pothole last week - Car was shaking a bit in highway - brought it to the dealer - Glad I have the tire insurance - need 2 new rims! They gave me an X1 as a loaner - I hate to say this but I preferred my old Jeep to the X1 so unimpressed by it... Love my5...

Roads over here in the UK are full of potholes now due to lack of maintenance.

Last week, I ran over what seemed to be a shallow pothole and the following day we had an unusually sunny and hot day, my back tyre went with a bang and had a 2" hole on the inside rim of the tyre. Having found someone with a replacement in stock, the front tyre on the same side went with a bang on the way to get the rear one done !!! £600 for two new tyres that had thousands of miles on !!!! No tyre insurance, don't think you can get it here.

Well cheesed off !!

Perfect example of why the tire warranty is more than worth it.

If the tire and wheel insurance is worth it to everyone, then the insurance company would go out of business

I was taking some canyon corners spiritedly tonight, and the car was acting like a champ, until I hit this damn #*#$*#&$ pothole which kind of put an end to the party 'cause I got paranoid. I find myself sometimes seeing a pothole and for some stupid reason quick-reflexing myself to steer INTO the pothole by going right as perhaps my natural instincts feel it's safer than risking going left into the oncoming lane (even if the oncoming lane is clearly clear). I steered right which was dumb as it took me right into the pothole. Fortunately nothing seems wrong at all, but it just hurts my soul to hear the sound the chassis makes when it smacks a pothole.

Stupid roads. Perhaps on canyon roads they do this on purpose as it serves as a speedbump of sorts.

They actually stopped allowing the BMW dealer in Valencia to sell the warranty because so many people were sticking nails in their tires and bringing them in!
