4 wheels and tires in f10

Just a quick question I have brought a set of 19" wheels with out tires I know these fit in an f10, my question is when I go to get tires on these will my old 18" fit in the car with the tires on??

I do have the folding rear seats which is a bonus.

You will probably need to use the seats.

1 in the front
2 on the rear
1 in the boot.

Certainly for transporting my two 275/35/19 tyres I could not fit two tyres in the boot and I had to place one on the rear seat.

I would suggest placing blankets/rugs around the tyres to prevent any road debris damaging your leather seats, not to mention brake dust transfer.

^^^

Looks like the OP has a solution.

I know my post doesn't help, but it is at times like the above I appreciate having the 'wagon'.

Four wheels take up a lot of space.

Russ,

You may be able to get two in the boot (1 front/1 rear staggered). I just replaced the RFT's on my 20" setup and managed to get two tyres in the boot without any squashing (245/35R20 &275/30R20)

The other two should go on the rear seat, but cant confirm that as I had to leave one to get a puncture repaired.....

What wheels did you go for?

Gareth

Cheers guys.

Gareth I found a bargain on eBay I know these are reps but I found them for £280. They had been dropped off a year ago to be refurbed but person never collected and after countless calls refurbers held them for a year then decided to sell them on at what they owed them.?

Good call. Even on my 20's the ride is better than the 19" runflats.

Picked up a BMW mobility kit yesterday from the Dealer just in case.

Two front wheels should fit in the boot.

I have a 535d f10 with split seats and my 4 19" wheels fit in the car. 2 in the boot, 2 on top of the rear of the rear seats folded down. Be sure to brings some rags/ black liners to protect the car and the wheels.

cheers guys i might make it 2 trips as the new wheels have not been used yet they did say to check and re-tighten the bolts after a while (due to paint cracking)so doing a relay run will allow this to be done and torqued up again.

For what it's worth I can get two 18" wheels in the boot of my 3 Series Saloon and the other two fit on the back seat when I'm doing the summer/winter wheel change.
