About to order a 535d m sport wagon but a bit sad

Hi guys, my first post here.
I've decided to get rid of my merc e63 amg and come over to the dark side
Fuel has just got to a point where it is so crazily expensive that it's taking the fun out of 6.2 litre ownership.
I've had a few mercs over the years and to be honest, as good as my e is (new shape version), I've got a bit bored of them. The 535d seems to be a great compromise between power and economy.
I've a couple of questions before I actually order though.

1. I've gone for the pro sat nav with rear screen entertainment package along with 6 DVD changer. Will DVDs actually play on the front screen as well as the two rears?

2. What the hell is a universal remote?

3. I've gone for 19" wheels but I notice they are run-flats, will my non run-flat
Winter tyres (19" 265x35) be able to be fitted or do I have to get new winter tyres?

4. Do I need to order anything other than just a cable for my iPod to work with the above sat nav?

5. Is the sports gearbox worth the £110 extra

6. What's the stereo like? I've ordered dab but just the standard speakers, do they need upgrading?

No doubt I'll think of other questions, but these are my main ones. I know how annoying at can be if you get things wrong at order time so big thanks to any of you guys who can help out with these questions.

nice outlook for you!

1. only when stationary
2. a programmable remote build in (I believe) the head liner
4. the ipod (non-iPhone that is) works in these ways:
- via aux: nothing to order; you have to control everything (except volume :-) ) on the ipod. Connecting to the USB port will only charge the ipod
- via USB: control/display songs in idrive, requires option 6FL "USB audio interface" and your standard ipod USB cable
5. yes according to own experience and every single review.
6. I have option code 676 Hifi and am happy with it. More info here: http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=403900

@1 It will play on the front screen but only when stationary. It can be fixed though. Just check the thread on DVDinMotion. Or check my solution:

@6 On a car that expensive you most definitely need to upgrade the standard speakers. Option 676 will already be a significant improvement.

A programmable garage door/gate remote built into the rearview mirror.

You get get 3 programmable buttons, so you can program it for 3 different gates or garage doors

Thanks guys,
I got my order in today. I'm not really sure wether to be happy or sad.
Happy that I'm getting a shiny new toy to play with and happy that I'll be getting decent mpg.
But also sad as I'm going to really miss the grunt of my merc. Still, I've got a couple more months to enjoy it until the bimmer gets delivered.
