AC fan Question

I notice that even when I turn off the AC fan off, it would come back on once I restart the car. This happens often, maybe once in a while it would stay off but thats only when I turn the car off/on quickly. Does anyone know how to turn this "feature" off? Its not a big nusance but still annoying having to turn it off everytime I get back in the car.

Are you referring to the AC fan that cools off your radiator/condensor under the hood or the fan inside the car? The AC/Radiator fan goes off at full speed when you start on a warm day, to cool off the condesor/radiator/engine.

many threads about this. Long story short, you can't disable it. It's annoying, I know. I live in LA too. We have nice weather, don't need a fan in my face.

Simply leave the AC on in 'auto' mode with the fan set to the lowest intensity settting... the resulting fan speed is never bothersome IMHO.

AC, I shut it off but everytime I get back in the car if comes back on automatically. As noted not a big deal I just like to have it off and usually roll down window but I find it annoying having to turn it over everytime I get back in the car.

One reason (I have read), that BM's and many cars do this... is to do a quick flush of any stale air in the AC pipes... so as to eliminate bacteria and smell...

I don't mind it on newer cars... but on older cars you tend to get dust sprayed into your eye-sockets at 48 paces/second....
