I have a 2010 f10 520d se the slip ring is currently faulty and requires replacing. I stripped off the cowling and grabbed the part number before calling my local bmw cooper dealers for a price. The part no 61319234440 air bag slip ring. So i gave the dealer my vin number etc then he told me the price etc and showed me the part i required but the part no is different 61319354047 they look exactly the same part. So anyway i thought i would call a bmw breakers i know on the chance he may have one, he said he did same year as my car and same model etc but again the part no was different again this time 61319245622. All these parts look exactly the same does anyone know why all these part no are different but are the same part the dealer part guy couldnt help me with an answer. Does anyone know why they are all different part no's?
