Two part post, humor me
Background: Wife has/had a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta, leased and we were about to go over the mileage with still 13 months left before turn in. Had been looking to get her into a 5 series for the last month or two and went into BMW of Bridgeport yesterday. Got what I think is an amazing deal on a 2013 528i xdrive left over. Black Sapphire Metallic over Oyster, premium, cold weather, convenience package, navigation, bmw apps. They paid out the entire remaining Jetta payment of 3415 and I got the car no money down 650.60 per month all taxes and fees included. Wife is extremely happy and were picking up the car tomorrow.
Now the humor part, Went on the dealer webpage this morning and they have a 2013 demo 550 xdrive Msport, black on black. Internet asking price is very good and I know that there is more to be had off. I currently have a 2010 Audi S4, owned not leased, which I absolutely love. However I did just recently go over 50K and am out of warranty. Haven't driven the 550 but i have heard great things about it. I would lease the car and trade in the audi. If the price is right should I do it, or would i be disappointed at the end of the day? Is the 550 simply a fast car or is it as engaging to drive as the S4. Im all ears.

Wudnt know abt either of the cars you are contemplating but considering the environment, I can guess which car will get the most vote! GL!! |

Why don't you just take the 550 out for a 20-30 min drive and see for yourself? Opinions on cars are very subjective, in the end all that matters is if you think it's an engaging car to drive. I bet they'd even let you drive it for the day.

The S4 competes with the M3. The 5 series is a different class of car - more luxurious, bigger, heavier and less nimble. You might get away with comparing the 550 to the S6, but again, the comparison is typically S6 to M5.

S6 is meant to compete directly with the 550i. RS6 would compete with the M5. |
