Exhaust upgrade for 550i

Trying to upgrade my 550i exhaust. Just looking for a axle back not full catback. Im debating between getting m5 mufflers or RPI mufflers. People have a lot of good things to say about RPI mufflers so im in between those 2 choices. Any advice on what i should choose? Or any other perticular mufflers that you guys would recommend? My limit is 1200$

Megan M5's are pretty good for the price ($500+). Just make sure you have a M5 diffuser because the OE 550 ones won't work, openings too small.

I haven't bought any, but doing the research, I fell in love with Shteigen, for price and (presumably) quality.. and amazing sound. Look em up.

I have to say, I literally tried different mufflers on the car and the Dinan Cat Back were the only ones I felt kept the "German" sound of the car. I have heard many people liking the M5 mufflers as well. What I like about Dinan is they are a bit loud when car is first started, once it warms up, there is just a wonderful GROWL to them. So Drone at highway speeds becomes negligible. But, when you get on it, they Roar. Keep in mind that the 550 model has a vacuum flap on the 2 of the 4 exhaust pipes which opens and shuts to lesson/loud-en the car. Not all mufflers come with this attachment and i think it is a must for the muffler.

Keep in mind there are other people looking for the same thing. What do you have to offer?

Remus came to mind. You can have their system for around $1300 - $1600 depending on tip options.
