Does "Multi-contour" = "comfort" seats?

Pardon me if this is a stupid question. I think the answer to this question is yes, however I just want to be sure. On the e60's the comfort seats were called just that.

Just wanting to confirm that the nomenclature has changed to "Multi-contour" seats.

Thanks.

Yes, that is correct. "Multi-contour" seats = "comfort" seats. And believe me, they are quite comfortable.

Not exactly. Multi-contour seats do not have adjustable side bolsters.

They do here in Europe.

At least as far as I can tell, in the uk they are still called comfort seats and still have adjustable side bolsters. Nothing called multi contour seats available on the uk order sheet.

Looks like the Euro comfort seats has two small buttons (inside red circle) thats controlls the adjustable side bolsters.
And it seems like the US multi contour seats don't have this.

Europe still gets the adjustable side bolsters?

Quite disappointed they are not available on the U.S. car. I definitely noticed this while driving a 2011 550i with Sport Package last week.

Yes, they have the ajustable side bolsters. And this option is useful too.

I would have thought the sport seats would have had this.
I quite like the adjustable bolsters on the E90 I currently have.

Its a shame the price of the multi contour seats are so high compared to the sports seats.

You do still get the multi-adjustable headrests, the adjustable upper seatback, and the power-extendable thigh support. But the price was somehow lower when the power-adjustable bolsters were also included.

It's the first time I've seen headrests like them - They remind of Volvo 740/760 headrests! I only went for sport seats to try to keep me sat in my seat when cornering. I'm quite a slim chap so need some support. Would have liked to have hugging seats again. Mind you I might be doing less hard cornering in the F10 compared to my E90.

Which seat has a softer main cushion, the standard seat or the multi-contour? Thanks.

FYI, after testing back to back, I found thet "comfort seat" with adjustable bolsters gives better support than the "sport seat". I myself is one slim chap too.

But I did find a problem with the "comfort seat" and that could just be me. When I have those side bolsters fully inflated, I find my elbows hitting them all the time during tight corners. Then again, like I just said, it could just be me and my up right driving position.

Is there something naming as "dynamic driving seat" available for F10? Auto adjustable bolsters are really helpful at cornering.

That I am curious too, cuz I thot it is included in the "comfort seat", but there aren't any. I guess that's the only thing I miss from my W221.

It's too expensive to change the option for me now.
As I got a really good deal on the F10 company lease.
I guess I will have to live with it for the next four years...

I had the the adjustable side bolsters on my E60. I miss them on my new F10. When cornering hard you slide in the seat without them.

In the U.S. we have no sport seat other than the "comfort seat."

I think only Mercedes offers the automatic bolsters so far.

The adjustable side bolsters are present in the seats in Singapore too.

Could it be that the multi-contour seats in the US would get the adjustable side bolsters if option 488 lumbar support is ordered (although lumbar support should refer to the back support; but could it be that both the back support and side bolsters come with option 488?)?

ps Maybe not as I see option 488 comes as a standard in the 535i and 550i in the US http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=364314 ?

Would be nice, but that option is only for the lumbar support.
