Turning central back seats lights off permanently...

Hi,

Sorry to create a new topic for this, but does anyone of you know how to turn off the upper back central lights (at the back seats) permanently ? I mean I don't see any switch to do this...

I can't stand looking at my 3 months old baby girl beeing put into the light when she sleeps every time we open a door...

Thanks for any help,

V1.

I don't think there's a switch unless you want NO interior lights to come on. If you just want the back ones not to come on, I'd suggest pulling the bulbs.

Hi, thanks for this answer.

So BMW is selling 74.000 euros without such a basic functionnality that a 6.000 euros car provides ? That's just crazy...

I kinda of miss my Lexus IS for that kind of tricks from BMW...

Just hold the light button in for more than 3 seconds
This works in most current BMW's

From the F10 owners manual

Quote:
To switch off permanently: press the button for
approx. 3 seconds.
To clear this setting: press the button.

There hundreds of such nice to have functionalities. Personally I'd like BMW to implement all of them. But in the meantime I'm more than happy to enjoy my car.

Great ! I tried this, but certainly less than 3 sec. I'll do better next try.

Thanks for your help; been too lazy to RTFM

Ok. I know now why it wouldn't work from the back seats : It's the front light button that needs to be pushed for 3 seconds for this to work, not the one at the back seats. But it then disables both lights, front and rear.

Anyway, my baby Louise and I tank you E90Fleet for your help. ;-)
