BMW F10 - 19" Wheels Offset/Fitment Question

Hello everyone,

I am looking to get a new set of wheels for my F10 535 X drive but am not an experienced wheel finder when it comes to offsets in correlation with wheel widths and so on. I have been searching and searching various threads and have come across a few which do give me an idea of what would work and what wouldn't.

I wanted to get someone's opinion whether a setup would work and how the wheel would sit.

I am looking to get wheels such as these: STR 607 Wheels. 19X8.5 +30 19x10 +35 with Tires 245/40/19 and 275/35/19.

Would these offsets work on the car and would they look about right? Not too tucked in?. What is the widest front wheel I can go and offset to be safe? What about the rear?

Another set I was looking at was the replica M5 Style wheels with this information: F 19x8.5 R 19x9.5 F +35 R +37 with the same tire setup.
My goal is to get a concaved type of look but I do know that I am probably very limited in the front due to a 8.5" wheel width.

Any opinions or pictures welcome

My car is not lowered, is stock and I do not plan on lowering it anytime soon due to the kind of roads we have here and simply do not think going even into the 20's would be a good idea with low profile tires.

Thank you very much!

If you got 19" OEM wheels, they're 19x8.5 ET33, so the outside edge of the first set with 19x8.5 ET30 will sit 3mm more out than the OEM wheels, I'd say that's a very nice fitment on a non lowered f10.
The 19x10 ET35 rears will sit out 17mm more, so they'll look slightly more aggressive than the front, but will still fit.

The 2nd set will sit 2mm more in, not really what you want, but 2mm is very little. The rears will stick out 9mm more.

Hi Remmib,

Thanks for chiming in.
I've for the 18 inch style 237 8" wheels for reference, will those wheels workout in my case?. Thanks for the information, I hope wheels such as those will look nice with those offsets. I just can't decide which ones I want.

I keep searching the web for F10 Pictures with those wheels and both look good to me. Decisions, Decisions

Just two pictures of my car.

Those 18" are ET30.

I see, so I should not see a major difference and it would like like a proper fit. The rear 10" Wheel would extend 15MM out I assume, should have no issues with rubbing under load or any of that?

On a side note, what are the limits (min/max) offsets on these kind of wheels without rubbing and or impacting any other suspension components for our cars as I was wondering whether it was possible to fit a 9.5 in the front or even a 9" all around for a squared setup. The wheels also come in 20x9 Et30 and 20x10.5 et35

Thanks!

I have 20x9 ET26 and 20x11 ET46. I've seen some run 9.5 in the front too.
The 20" set will work too. You can search for BBS CH-R, they've got the same 20x10.5 ET 35 rears and 20x9 ET29 front.

Thanks for the input. Would you know if it is better to run a 9" or 9.5" all around as I was interested in getting a squared setup for the ability to rotate. What would be good offsets and tire sizes to run on both of those wheel setups (squared).

Thanks again Rem!

With a square set-up most use 245 or 255 tires all around, so you don't really need a 9.5" wide wheel, and it'll be much harder to find a 9.5" wheels to fit the front. I'd get a 9" with 245 or 255 tires with a offset of ET30 +/- a few mm.

If I'm using a 245/40R19 to stretch on 9.5 wheels what offset would I need for the front and back. I keep calculating 19 x 9.5 ET20 for the front which will stick out 12.7 from the fender I believe. What about rear with the same tires?

You can use the same offset in the rear.

Yes, that will work, but will look fairly aggressive.

i am running 19'x 9.5 all around with ET37. Using stock tires 245/40/19.
The front rim due to the off set was touching so I had to install 6MM spacers. with the spacers in the front the wheels are pefect flush with the fender. The rear i am looking to install some wider tires maybe 265/35/19.

These looks nice on the car. What wheels are these? Might go the same style since I’m planning on sticking to 19 all around also.

Thanks Supreem N55! That sure helps me! Is your F10 lowered? (It doesn’t appear to be)

19" Work VS-XX

Downsized from 20" to 19"

I like the 19s sidewall for comfort and the unavoidable highway & street hazards in NorCal vs my 20s

Fitment is aggressive, front wheel lips match the same depth as the rear lips with no rubbing or fender work. The A & O faces clear the stock 535 brakes.

Work VS XX
19x9.5 +19 ET, Step Lip, A Disk, 87mm Lip, 245/40 Falken Azenis
19x10.5 +39 ET, Step Lip, O Disk, 87mm Lip, 285/35 Falken Azenis

Lowered on FortuneAuto air cup coilovers + AccuAir

It wasn’t at the time of the initial post. Went with ECS Tuning coilovers. Here’s how it sits
