Hard wired a dash cam??

So, another question on behalf of the inlaws....

Thinkware F750 fitted, but keeps throwing up battery discharge issue after a night of running.

Anyone fitted on to their F10/11/07 and care to share what settings they have to avoid this.

Thanks.

I have mine hard wired to the glovebox USB port. Port power comes on when you unlock the car and goes off shortly after locking. Works well for my camera.

Mine is hardwired as well.
I found the key to that is either adjust the voltage that you set for the camera to shut down (12v, 11.8v, or other) or else set how long you want the camera to stay on after the car shuts off.

On my f30, I had the camera set to auto shutoff after 9 hrs. When I installed that camera (with the same settings) in my f10, I kept getting the warning about batter drain. So I set it at 6 hrs before camera shuts down. Once I changed that, no more drain warning.

I figure I'm never parked in one spot for anywhere close to 6 hours other than in my garage at night. My garage is armed as well with a camera inside. So no issues for me to have it set up this way.

Give that a shot and see if it works for you.

I need the full parking mode (8+ hrs while I am at work) and gotten used to the battery discharge warning.

I already have Power magic Pro installed and I know that will prevent the battery from draining and therefore the battery discharge message doesn't mean that much to me.

But if you want to totally avoid it buy one of these

My 650S Blackvue never causes any battery warnings, it has a battery save/control in the wiring loom.

I use the Cellink B - no warnings and about 30 hours parking mode.
