Would you replace the rotors?
Somehow my front brake pads don't give off much dust, but with my rear brakes, my wheels are dark gray after a few days. I want to replace my rear pads, but trying to figure out if I can get away with not changing the rotors at this point. My car got new rear pads and rotors during the CPO process at 24k miles just before purchase. I now have 40k miles. So could I replace just the pads? Or do I need to replace the rotors as well? I am outside of free maintenance, but still under CPO warranty till 4/17, so this is on my dime. Thanks.

Yes you can get away with it. I have just above 50K and I believe my rear pads were done around 25K. After I took my car back from the dealership to get that thing I told you taken care of I was informed I need new brake pads. The techs measured the rotors and said I have thousands of miles left on them. I will be DIY-ing my brakes tomorrow ( I already purchased all required parts ) so I'll let you know how that turns out.
