It all depends what you want. H&R lowers your car more than ACS springs do but as far as ride quality I don't think they compare. I have had H&R springs before and the ride was bouncy. I currently have ACS springs on my car and even though they were more expensive my car rides awesome. It feels so solid I love it. I can whip turns with no body roll and the car just feels solid on bumps. I actually think BMW should put these springs in all their M-sport package equipped cars. That's my take. I would go ACS all the way unless you want to go maybe a half inch lower and save some money but with this car I wouldn't cut corners to save a few bucks when it comes to something like suspension or anything else. This is a heavy car and it needs to have solid quality add on's to get it to feel just right and I'm not saying that H&R's suck because I have used them before but I wouldn't on this car.

I think if you want Low height and best price. Go H&R. I have H&R on all my cars. They work fine.

If you want Low height, better ride quality, and don't care about money. Go RDS

I think ACS doesn't drop much. You might as well just keep your sport package springs.

Well, H&R is $300 shipped. Both ACS and RDS are at least double that. A few hundred dollars is not much compare to a $60,000 car. But if you compare item to item. ACS and RDS are a lot more expensive.

If you really want the best quality ride, I think MEGAN RACING coilover will be your best choice. I think you can get them for about $900.

I concur with everything Hunter5179 said. I've had all three and the ACS are the best and they are still low on my 550i. H&Rs ride quality on this car is terrible.

I can't speak about RDS but I think the drop the ACS springs did on my ride is perfect and the ride is excellent. If you go to my profile you can click on my album and you will see the drop. Its the same pic as on my avatar. Its perfect for me and the region I'm in.

I also live in Chicago. Where did you get your F10? Do you plan on do any other mods to your car?

Well said!

I am not sure where some of the other posters are getting their information from, specifically ACS doesnt drop much, many people have posted their photos including the link in my signature of the drop, the difference is that ACS makes performance of the springs paramount over looks. They do not design the springs so some high schooler can drive around with his mufflers scrapping on mcdonald parking lot speed bumps. You can read all over the forums that many customers who purchase springs like that are unhappy and swap them out, usually ACS.

As far as cost, you spent a pretty big chunk of change on your car, what is 500 - 800 dollars??? This is something that should not be a problem if purchasing a new BMW in the first place, my recommendation is to review the countless threads on this topic, there is a ton of information from all sorts of owners.

Wow, very nice.

I have Hamann kit on. But decided to convert the front bumper to M type. So I am waiting for the M bumper to arrive and will be getting a Hamann Lip.

I met a couple of people on the forum. We should all get together sometime.

Who makes the ACS springs or RDS? Neither of them are in the business in making springs so I wonder if they are just rebadged items at a higher price tag?

Also, do the ACS springs stand out from how the stock springs look? Last thing i want is the dealer to spot them out denying warranty on stuff.

That will look dope with the Hamann lip....I look forward to seeing that. I kinda like the M-sport front bumper better than the M5 cuz it looks like it flows better, more proportional. I do like the M5 rear diffuser a lot tho.

Not sure who makes them but they are much better than stock springs. My ACS looked like stock springs. Black. You shouldn't have any issues with warranty. I had mine installed at the dealer and it doesn't void warranty. Even if you install them at a good shop you should be fine. I asked my service manager and that's what he said.
