Valve cover gasket pinched slightly need help

Hey guys so I did the valve cover gasket job a little while ago and the install went smooth but I’ve been dealing with a slight idle vibration and slight jerking while idle, rpm’s don’t jump and car still pulls hard while tuned but I smoke tested the car and turns out I pinched the gasket very slightly on the right side. It’s not leaking oil but it does have a vacuum leak that is sooooo small it makes me not want to redo the job.
Do you guys think I should use permatex or some type of sealent ? The leak is so small that smoke barely came out at all it was such a small amount. Any advise would be appreciated.

I would suggest to redo the gasket, I would do more research as well as wait for a reply for those who have used Permatex before.

As you said, a slight vibration and jerking, so that's a re-do. :-(

But hey, should go a lot faster the second time!!!

It isn’t a bad one though it’s just a noticeable one if you get my drift. And thankfully no codes or enough leak to trigger a boost issue, still able to push this thing 😁
But I do like having a luxary first car too so I’ll just redo it if I don’t find a solution. Sucks Becuase it’s not even an oil leak, I was off by just a smidge.

Yeah, for now, its fine however, that is a compromised area, the sooner the better, I definitely wouldn't want to neglect that any longer than needed my friend.

Very true, hopefully sometime over the next few weeks I’ll pay my friend who’s a bmw tech to do it.

So we ended up doing the valve cover gasket and extracted the 2 broken bolts in the head, my car is good now thank god. Can’t believe I neglected it for this long. We now have to replace the vaccum line that connects to the intake inlet but that shouldn’t be big to do at all. He did it all for 600 as well as rethreading the holes and smoke testing. At a dealer it prob would’ve been 2000+ 🤣I for sure got my bang for my buck.
