Puddle lights

Picked up my car this evening and have noticed that the door handles do not illuminate when I unlock the car.

Is there a setting i should be ticking?

Yes it comes as standard on my version. I can see the lights in the handles but they do not light up.

Set "Pathway lighting" in the setup on the iDrive.

I have had a look through the idrive and I do not seem to have that option.

I can't even find anything in the manual. Very strange.

I do not have the comfort access but in the paperwork and the BMW configurator, the Ambient Lighting Package is listed as statndard.

Could it be the BMW have forgotten to switch all the functions on?

Does you interior light illuminate when you first open the doors to enter the car? If not then you have to press on the middle button over your head which switches the interior lights on. This should also allow the lighting in the door handle to illuminate when unlocking the car.

Can't think of any other reason right now.

Thanks for that, it worked. I have tried every other button and setting to no avail and did not think to try those buttons.
