Faulty key and not recognized??
So after my last visit to the dealer to address the pulling to the right issue, when I crank my car and then shut my door I get a message stating the key may be faulty and is not recognized. Engine will not start. Well the message goes away and the car runs fine, starts fine, and locks/unlocks fine. I asked the dealer and he said it may have something to do with the software update because it never did this before. I was curious if anyone else has seen this message. It doesnt pop up if the door is closed when I crank it.

I get it on the regular. I have to put the key by the steering column. BMW said they couldn't reproduce this error but I get it EVERY day. They even gave me another key! Didn't solve the problem. They will get it right sooner or later............
