Just picked up a Meisterschaft exhaust! (UPDATE! Finally finished remove paint!)

Hey Guys! Just scored on this Meisterschaft exhaust! As you can see they were painted black but was not prepped right and that's why it's peeling. You can see the muffler on the left I spent less than 5 minutes peeling it off with my fingers and it's still pretty shiney! I'll have to spend a weekend getting everything off and repolished with a buffer and she'll be as good as new! Not too bad for $900 bucks!

I think it'll look really well once I get the MTech rear bumper painted and installed!

Honestly, what a great pickup Bud. Looks like stainless steel and as you know nothing sticks to it without the proper prep and etching. Two questions - do those lines on the inner tailpipe open a butterfly valve for note/sound? And what make carbon diffuser did you end up buying cos it looks great?

those lines you're talking about Jet i really think it's just a trademark for Meisterschaft as i've never seen that on any other exhaust so if you're behind and you see it you know it's a Meisterschaft. they are actually welded plates and i don't know the functionality other than looks

but you can see the butterfly valve from inside which is in the open position and since i don't need it hooked up to open and close it will just stay open. hopefully i think when you mean "lines" that's what you're referring too? as far as the diffuser it's the DTM style from CNAfans. i posted a link in another thread when i bought it from another forum member. i got it dirt cheap for $250 as CNAutofan sells it for $450 not including shipping.

yup pretty much a good deal on the exhaust as i was about to go with the Megan Supremo's quad 4" exhaust for $650 so for $250 more i got a higher end exhaust

edit: i think i know what you mean by lines...yes, those are the butterfly valves that open and close when hooked up. for the guys with the 550 the flap opens as you step on the pedal harder i think if i read that correctly somewhere

Well here she is.

It was a bonding moment as I rubbed her all day caressing and fondling her and getting high with the paint stripper! The wifey was pretty jealous as she kept telling me to get a room LOL!

couldn't get all the black paint but I can live with it! One of the tips got dull out of the 4 so not sure why it did that?

I'll probably have it chromed out at a shop or something

Wow nice, the hard work paid off. I think you can workout the issue with the dim tip without problem.
