Muffler Delete Issue

Had a muffler delete done about a week ago. When in D mode, if I lightly push the throttle, the Rpms get stuck at 1200 rpm for a few seconds until I hit the pedal harder and it gets over 1500 rpm. As long as the car stays over 1500 rpm the car throttle response doesn't get sluggish.

In DS mode, the Rpms don't go below 2k so there's no issue there.

Any suggestions as can what the issue can be or is this the loss of low end power associated with muffler delete?

Probably lost some low end torque.

Did you check the vacuum lines to see if they are properly pluggd up?

Probably due to loss in low end torque

i believe that vacuum is created from the vacuum pump which works the brake booster and a few other vacuum powered items. but not the actual engine intake. So that shouldn't cause power loss. but who knows.

People have reported uneven power delivery due to the unsecured exhaust flapper vacuum lines...

Ya im 90% sure the vacuum line is what the issue is. I can't find it though. Attached some pics of what my muffler delete looks like. Can someone briefly walk me through the process? Thanks!

look up closer to the bottom of the bumper where the Valance is. Should see the hose there for each end. about the diameter of a pen.

Thanks for the reply man, I found it. It looks plugged as you can see from the picture. Is there a better method to plug it or is this sufficient?

if its a 550 there should be 2. one on each side.
Use a zip tie just to make sure its tight around the screw and doesn't come out.

Do you have a sound clip or vid? I'm curious how it sounds.

thanks. i will try to zip tie around the screw see if that does the trick. If not, could there be anything else that may be causing the issue?

to hard to tell, plug it in and look for codes. it may just be a coincidence when you did the exhaust with the loss of power.
