Journey Computer never reads less than 7 mpg
The Journey computer never reads less that 7 mpg (UK). At the start of a journey it always reads 7mpg even when the car hasn't moved. Eventually it starts to go up. But what is the logic behind this. Surely it should read 0 until you've moved some distance this has always been the case with other cars. Just doesn't give much confidence in it. Do others see the same?

Never noticed that, but when I refuel today, I'll reset my Trip Computer (for us US folks) and see what it shows at a standstill.
But if I recall correctly, on my previous BMW the computer would be at 99mpg or something really high when it was first reset and if I wasn't moving. I assume this is how it would be on the F10 but will check Last edited by BigKutta; 02-13-2012 at 08:54 AM.. |

I reset it from time to time (i.e. If I have been doing lots of urban travel then go on a long trip)... but when I do that it starts at the highest mpg the car has done, and rapidly changes to current consumption... never 0 or 7 mpg
