Question F10 GPS Error B7F80F

Hi All,
I recently bought a 2014 F10 528i/N20 . I noticed an issue with the Nav system the lat/long values are always Zero , after scanning i found the error B7F80F (Connection head-unit to GPS antenna foot: open circuit) using BMW Fault Code Lookup - BMWFaultCodes to decipher the error . I removed the head unit and checked the blue connector for GPS it was firmly connected. Is it possible instead of replacing the antenna to use of the shelf replacement active GPS receiver? If Yes what brand/type should i get? or What I should do to solve this issue ?

Thanks
M

Behind the radio: pink connector is for Sirius radio. GPS connector is blue. Check that as well as under your shark fin antenna.

My bad YES its the blue connector. I checked it again its not loose and firmly connected to the back of the HeadUnit. Is it possible to use something like this (

And just route the cable through the glove box instead of replacing the whole shark fin antenna as there is a possibility the head unit is bad and it's cheaper ?

Thanks

Sorry for the delayed response but yes, that can be done. However, the antenna or the cable rarely go bad. It actually might be prudent to pull down the headliner next to the rear brake light and check that gps connection as the GPS antenna is part of the shark fin on the roof. Could be there is moisture Ingress that caused the failure or pervious owner had some other setup going?
