Looking for help with odometer options.
Hi everyone.
First time posting in here, due to never owning a 5-series, until now! A little backstory regarding my question: I have imported a car from Germany via a firm that helps with the contact to the dealership and putting the car on a trailer towards Sweden. That firm also gets the car registered here in Sweden before it is handed over to me (in about two weeks). The car is a 530d from 2012 with 65.000km on in (or that is what the ad said). Now I am sitting here sweating down my back due to a picture I just saw (taken from the ad). I notice on the odometer it says: 113324 and then a smaller number to the right of that 355.1 maybe. I am guessing that the big number is what the car has actually driven and the smaller number is the second odometer which one can reset. Now my question is if I am wrong in assuming what I see? Can you as a 5-series owner confirm that there are not any other options or numbers that can be displayed at that location? If so, then it seems something is not right. I have attached the picture for your judgement. Thanks for any input. |

You should confirm that this picture is from your car. I know many of the dealers around here use pictures from similar year or color cars and they do not say that the picture is a representation one of the car (some do though).

Hopefully that's not the case as it almost doubles the mileage driven, hopefully it was just different photo that was used. Good luck either way. |

Thanks all for your inputs.
The advertisement was expressed in kilometers, so the fault shouldn't be located there. I also hope, as some of you, that the picture is taken from another car. But even then, what have I been looking all this time? :| |

On the other hand, if they did rook you, then you need to dump this deal with dispatch. |

Odd.... The numbers in the red circle and white box aren't visible for me...
Can you refuse delivery and get a refund if the car isn't as presented? |

That is all fin, but it makes my purchase even more interesting since I'll haven't actually looked at the car I bought. So I could be in for a surprise. |

If it's BMW dealership, most likely it'll be fine, with independent dealers things get a bit trickier, but hopefully it all works out for you and you get exactly what you hoped for. At least you know the mileage is correct, so it's promising so far.
