Hi ksquare

Nice car! Breytons? Had to look very closely at your pics to see the drop. It is very discrete. Probably will look at putting on the acs springs when my 6 mos period is up.

Grimlock, i share your heartbreak. i also had a similar 2" scratch on one of my rims when i hit a curb... but hey, since its no longer a "virgin", you'll look forward to better days ahead!

Yes, they are the 20" LS RACE Breytons. got them from WK. the drop is not so glaring as its only a mild 1" drop.

Been driving the car for about 2 weeks now, and i had a pleasant surprise. With the new springs, I actually am getting better mileage! Before the change, my mileage was at a stable 17.8-18 L / 100km. Its now dropped to 17.5 . Nice.

So, not only do i get a better ride handling, i also get better mileage! and this while the ride is still at a comfortable level. All in, well worth the cheap and quick upgrade.

That really worries me, I wonder if I can get fatty tires (ie tires wider than rims) so if I touch the kerb, the tires will be scratched instead of the rims.

i nearly cried .. but i got over it in about 1 day.. when i realized they can be mostly repaired to perfect .. cuz i love my rims so much i know its weird

the lost of 'innocence' but good thing anthing material can be repaired.. the same cannot be said of immaterial things

yup. i really like the bmw oem style 312 but its 21" for the GT. Cant use the 20" as its not designed to carry the weight of the GT.

Therefore, after some research work, found the closest to be the Breytons. i understand Breytons supply to bmw oem rims as well. thus you see some similarities. other styles as well.

hard to believe it, but its true. my only logical explanation is that since the body of the car is not moving like a "boat", the engine is more efficient in carrying the car.

enjoy your new baby..
watch the revs on 'M' (manual) mode, its easy to forget at traffic light, then when u go, the gear doesn't change and the revs spike up really high, which may not be a good idea b4 break in or on cold engine
and left /right paddle shift u may accidently downshift when u want to upshift -another potential rev killer
