Solved

Hi All,

Thought I'd post an update as I've recently fixed a misfire on cylinder 6 and 101F01 fault codes. Only really noticeable when warm similar to the OP's symptoms where after a Valvetronic run in procedure, the symptoms disappear.

The issue turned out to be a very badly worn inlet camshaft. The cam lobes on cylinder 6 had pitted and had worn unevenly creating a 400um slope on the cam lobe. I guess at full valve lift, the reduced lift from the worn camshaft is much less noticeable.

Fitted a new inlet cam and the problem has gone away. Not sure of the root cause but checked all oil passageways and there didn't seem to be a blockage. Could be a manufacturing fault with the original cam - who knows.

Hopefully this helps anyone out who has a persistent slight misfire.
