Funny story about halos in my parking garage...

I seen this new 535 (still temp plates) parked a few cars away from me for the last week or so - this morning he was behind me and I noticed he did not have the DRL's on - I walked by him and nodded - I tell him 'Cool car' - he says you too - then proceeds to tell me he made his final decision after seeing mine - I ask him why aren't the DRL's on - he did not know what I was talking about - I was 'Really, dude - these cars look so damn awesome with the LED halo's' - I offered to switch them on, but he said he'll figure it out later...
I think the LED halo's look super cool - I find myself admiring their reflection in store windows - my 19 yo son says 'they stunt real hard'

Did he appear to be famiar with the placement of the steering wheel or the door handles?

It's amazing that some people will spend $50k+ on a car and not seem to have the vaguest idea what they bought.

I wonder if someone swapped out his car for a Kia how long it would take him to notice that there was a difference.

To be honest, if I had a car with a menu that allowed me to turn off the DRL's, I'd check them off every time. Only reason I have them on is because they look so cool.

That's a little harsh, don't you think? Just because he didn't find the option buried in the menu to turn on his silly little halo rings?

Curious as to why you would have them off, don't you think they are a valid safety feature??

No. That's my opinion, I'm not even going to try to justify it. It's just how I feel.

Not asking for you to justify it, just wondering why you don't think they are a safety feature.
