Is the upgraded HiFi Soud system (16 speakers, 600 watts, etc) in the 5 series the same as the HK Sound system in the 3 series (also 16 speakers), or better?

I have the the US version of the premium sound system. In my opinion, its the best oem upgarde audio system on the market for $700. Its a bit more powerful and sounds a bit better than the HK in the 3 series. I havent heard the B&O in the 5 series yet, but if its anything like the A6's $6000 B&O, its not worth the money. Sure, it sounds better than the premium sound system, but at 6 times the price, it's a bit much. The pop up tweeter towers are nice, but after a while, its just another thing that will break.

Great point. And 700 is much less to enjoy about the same with MP4 from our Iphones. Few listen to CDs these days.
