Oil leak near/around filter housing?

2014 535xd with 90k miles...

Left the car in the garage for a week while away and first day driving it noticed first oil marks during my ownership (37 months).
Popped the hood and noticed oil around filter housing and had just done oil change prior to leaving, so figured I must have buggered up the gasket/o-ring placement. Reset that, cleaned everything up, and buttoned it back up.
Noticing very small marks again ~ 4 days later ~ and filter housing seems a little mucky still.

Filter housing gasket?
Labor on that seems NUTS (quoted 6.5 hrs by local indy shop).
Other thoughts?

Thinking I should do a tranny service now, too...so that's ≈ $800. I guess I'm about to do my part for the local economy :-(

OFHG is a common leak for all BMW. I recommend doing it along with the VCG. It will leak soon as well.

For anyone interested...

Ending up bringing this to an independent shop with a stellar reputation.
Initial diagnose matched what was suggested here, oil filter housing gasket.
They contacted me today to say that at least one of the other gaskets needs replacing, too. I believe they said the oil cooler gasket, but the service writer explained that the diesel design is a bit different.

Interesting that another independent shop that I respect said that they don't see the OFHG go bad on the diesels at the same rate as the gas versions. The shop working on mine said the same. They said that the last time they needed this part was over a year ago...
