I own two N55 vehicles (F10 535i & F15 X5). If I purchase the MHD Super License which includes (1) Flasher License, (1) Monitor License and all of the OTS maps, do I just have to purchase an additional Flasher License if I want to tune both cars, or would I also have to purchase the necessary OTS map for the second vehicle?

I've looked on their website, but the answer isn't very specific as it just states that, "Yes, but for each car a new license is required.". It doesn't specify if you have to purchase both the Flasher License and the maps, or just the Flasher License.

Any help is appreciated.

You have to purchase both the Flasher License and a Map Pack for each vehicle you wish to tune.

Also curious to their answer as I also own 2 N55 powered cars. But I’m pretty sure the license is VIN locked and you’ll need to buy 2 licenses. Nonetheless, let’s see what MHD says in response to you.

I agree that their website information lacks some basic answers.

If you don't mind a slight thread hijack, if I just want to put a basic Stage 1 91 Octane flash on my 535i, I don't need the Monitor Pack - correct?

I'm aware that you need to purchase a new Flasher License for each vehicle. This is what I'm trying to clarify with them because the verbiage on their website states that you need a new "license" for each vehicle, but the only two "licenses" they sell are the Flasher and Monitor licenses. The Maps Pack is not considered a license. I'm trying to find out if I can use the maps already purchased from the Super License.

That is correct. The monitor license is just for you to monitor your vehicle whether it's tuned or not. If you're just doing Stage 1 flash, you don't need it. You will only need the Flasher License and the Stage 1 Map.

So here's the answer, the Super License (including Maps Pack) is VIN locked to the vehicle. So if you want to tune a different vehicle you either need to purchase another Super License for that vehicle or just purchase the Flasher License and the Map Pack you want to flash.

Makes sense. The confusing thing that I feel they need to clear up on the website is that they don't refer to the Map Packs as a "license", so it's just not clear since they only say that you need to purchase a new license per vehicle.

They should just change the name to "Map Pack License" to make everything clear.
