A good buff with a clean, damp microfiber?

I'm not sure if it's 'proper' but it has worked for me.

I just picked up some meguires leather wipes and they cleaned my seats really well. I'm going to wipe down the steering wheel later today and I'll report back how well they work for the wheel.

As far as the scratch, I have one too and I'm going to get some black leather polish and buff it out with that. I'll report back on that too.

I have used Mothers Leather Wash for my MSport steering wheel several times -- basically, every time I get my local garage to change the oil, since they can't seem to understand the need to clean up properly before driving my car out of the shop. Amazing amount dirt comes off, does not take the dye out of the leather, or dry it out. The wheel feels like OEM afterward
For that scratch in the back seat, paste shoe polish would be a bad idea -- it is water soluble and will come off on passengers' clothes, and it won't fill the scratch goove. There are leather repair kits available which include a filler paste for the groove, and a color-match dye that is applied to the filler and surrounding area with a sponge.

I've used several different leather cleaning products ( meguiar's, lexol) but by far saddle soap is the best. Work up a little lather with a moist cloth, wash the area, wipe with clean moist cloth and you're done.

Was wondering about this too.

+1 for Saddle Soap

Will try the Mothers Leather Wash too.

Thanks for the recommendations.

I would watch this video for that. Larry from AMMO NYC is an amazing detailer. He works on a Bugatti in the video so that's a plus!

I'm using Gliptone cleaner + conditioner for the seats and happy with it, but frankly soap and water do the same job for the steering wheel.

Chemical guys Leather cleaner and conditioner here does a great job with no product odor. There glass cleaner, silk dressing, and interior quick detail is quite amazing as well.

Poor Boys Leather Stuff is excellent at bringing leather to an almost new state. It's been my go to on leather for 10 years.

I get all my detailing supplies at Detailed Image, great prices and advice, I learned all my detailing from those guys (okay and a little from my Dad's auto parts and garage in the 70s, where I was the chief detailed/car washer/detailed).

They should have offered the brush with the kit, the 02 330ci I just picked up the seats are a little brittle. So the Brush makes a big difference then massaging by hand? I mean the corners.

with the brush it's really soft so you don't feel like you're hurting or damaging the leather at all. also, it helps to get into the cracks and crevices on the seats
