Yeah, seen this on a few, came on the 2014 LCI models.
Almost bought a 2014 530D with this panel, but opted for the power increase of the M550D instead, will probably get a LCI M550D or M5 in a year or two and this display is on my "must have" list

I enquired about a retrofit as I love this display

An independent coder I know wanted £1,200 for, he said part had to be purchased and coded to the chassis for mileage, etc by BMW.

Gave up on the idea as I can think of better mods for the money, going for carbon splitters front and rear instead

this will be on the next generation 7 series. im sure it will eventually trickle down to the 6 and maybe the 5 eventually. the colors will change based on the settings. for example, sport is red, eco is blue(or green?). each setting has a different info that is displayed as well.

Its called Multi Function instrument panel. It seems to be rare but is listed on the BMW new spec up site. Surprised nobody spec with it... its delicious

My understanding is it's been available for a year or two on the non-US spec 5's (2013 and 2014) - not sure if we're expected to get that here in the US, though.

This has been available on the 5 series for at least 1 year now (in UK).

My 535 manufactured in July last year has this option. It is called the Multi Function Instrument Display or MFID.

I also remember that it was not available to order in the US, but this was many months back - not sure whether it still cannot be ordered in US or not.

It's on the USA 6 and 7 series, but oddly not the 5 series. I know it can be retrofitted but there is just no good reason to not have the option or at least special order.

This was on a 7 series MSport I test drove. Dealer told me they will be making this the standard cluster on the 5's as well.
