Use of Active Cruise Control?

Can one use active cruise control in slow moving congestion?
What is the main usefulness of active cruise control?

According to specs, it should be able to handle also complete stop & go traffic (3 secs max stop time).

I use mine in slow moving congestion. It's fantastic.

I have used it on the F01 and it is fantastic in congestion. but you still need to be very vigilant because if anyone darts infront of you suddenly, it will probably not stop quick enough. Also in traffic that moves well, it the is a sudden curve infront of you and the car infront has turned already, and you are 100m behind and have not started steering into the bend, the car accelerates thinking that the way is clear ahead.

I have used it on the F01 and it is fantastic in congestion. but you still need to be very vigilant because if anyone darts infront of you suddenly, it will probably not stop quick enough. Also in traffic that moves well, when there is a sudden curve infront of you and the car infront has turned already, and you are 100m behind and have not started steering into the bend, the car accelerates thinking that the way is clear ahead.
