Carbon Fiber Vinyl roof/hood
Any recommendations where I can order this and what I should be looking at cost wise? Thinking about tackling this on since I have some confidence in my vinyl mods!

You don't like gloss black roof? IMO it's better since it creats the para roof alike roof. Carbon fiber is nice if it is real CF with smooth and shinny surface. But I don't think they have that kind of CF vinyl yet. The CF I bought and wrapped my diffuser isn't very shinny. And yea, I agree with the other, hook....nah. Unless it's a real CF roof. Well just my opinion

Just make sure you add a "Type R" emblem to the trunk lid after you wrap your hood to complete the look.

Well...my car is jet black So adding carbon fiber components like the 3d carbon fiber lip, carbon fiber side skirts, carbon fiber side skirt extensions, mirror caps, dtm diffuser, boot spoiler and roof spoiler I thought Maybe the carbon fiber roof spoiler would flow with a carbon fiber roof? As far as the Hood it was just an option. Or forget the Hood and roof and go with a carbon fiber trunk?

Lol you r right, since your car is black then I think CF roof works. Not sure about just the trunk thou. I can't imagine in my head if it's just the trunk. Maybe hood, trunk and roof would be better?

Trunk and roof now that I think about it might be better. There's a couple manufacturers that make carbon fiber trunks and they run anywhere from $900-1200. It's gonna be a journey to get my car there but I think it'll look SWEET!

Here's the trunk
Carbon fiber front lip Carbon fiber MTECH side skirts And last but not least carbon fiber side skirt extensions I think with jet black these will work well. Just my vision on how I want my car to look Last edited by lsturbointeg; 04-24-2015 at 07:35 PM.. |

Do you have the front lip already installed? I was wonder how the front lip attached to the bumper. I mean if you have to drill new holes to screw on or just screw it on by the existing holes

Everytime I buy stuff on ebay I got nervous about fitmen haha...
So the lip install through the existing screw holes? Then maybe it will be an issue for me. Mine is aftermarket bumper, the bottom doesn't line up 100%. This is my first bmw. Didn't know anything about sport package when I purchased or else I would just look for one with M sport at the beginning |

I was at the bodyshop to fix some stuff on my bumper. Met this guy who doing vinyl business. He said if leaving it on too long, more than a year, it could ruin the clear coat..... I really dont know who to believe lol. Maybe take it off after another 6 months or so...
