Help! Infotainment system keeps rebooting

The main screen is just turning off after a minute of being on and do this over and over again. The radio, stereo, and maps all are turning off for seconds, and then restart. This sometimes don't happen, but it is now continously restarting most of the time.
Any expected reason for this issue?

Battery issue? When was the last time you changed it?

It is the original OEM battery from 2012, but I don't have any issue with it. Even the car engine turns off while I'm stopping.

11 Year old battery? Way past it's normal life. Batteries nearing the end of it's life results in many gremlins in a car. Have you done a proper check on it, or is your no issue just a subjective opinion?

I'd strongly suggest replacing the battery just to err on the side of caution. The last thing you want is a dead battery when you need the car to start the most.

Mine reboots occasionally when it has an issue with bluetooth connectivity. Try removing and re-pairing your bluetooth devices.

You'll need to check a local dealership for the price if you want a Genuine BMW battery. My indy mechanic strongly suggested I go for an OEM battery since the price difference is negligible when compared to an aftermarket battery. With how finicky the electricals are on these cars, I personally opted to go for an OEM battery for extended peace of mind.

In any case, up here in Canada, the price from the dealership for a 105Ah AGM battery was $428CAD + $18CAD core and any applicable tax.

Looking at GetBMWParts.com, the current price in the US appears to be $210USD plus $18 core and any applicable taxes.

Ditto. When I needed a new battery, my dealer's price was about $50 higher than the local indy. For $50, I'll stick with the dealer.

I paid $279 USD for a Duracell brand battery and swapped it and coded it myself. It’s been about a year since install. So far so good!
