I'm not exactly sure to which nut you're referring, but have you tried a ratcheting wrench?

Hex nut #7 there is a second one right below it. Yeah tried a ratcheting wrench and it is way too big for the bottom nut.

The packaging of this engine is so weird. On my F25 it sits a bit further forward and gives plenty of access to get a ratchet down there.

I just did it but it wasn't fun. Just ended up with a regular 1/4" socket. Locate the nut with your finger and then get the socket over it.

I was having boost issues and thought it was the problem, but it turned out to be something else.

What was that something else? I'm tracking down a boost target problem and it's driving me bonkers.

My problem was were I had re-soldered my JB4 to go from ISO mode back to integrated mode came apart. I didn't realize it was the JB4 causing the issue right away and I thought it was something else. Soldering that back together solved my problem.

You might have to pop it off since it's probably settled pretty good against the mounting brackets. Those nuts are the only thing holding that solenoid to the block, though.

update: Had to remove the strut brace/bar to allow for more room for my hands to go in with a 10mm deep socket and a wrench to loosen up the nut by clamping on the socket from above. Such a pita with so little clearance. Buzzing noise from the solenoid is gone now so that is a relief.

WOW.. just did this literally 2 hrs ago. Removed the first nut and i was like ok good.. realised there was a second one on the bottom which is so fucking stupid. Ended up just breaking the dam component. Relocating the new one a little bit by the shock tower and extending the vaccum line coming from the motor. How much did you pay for yours? Theres like 100010 part numbers
