How dirty does your car get?

Hi guys, saw a the same thread in the 3 series forum of this site and thought I'd start one here for us guys.

Be interested to see how much mess these rear wheel drives pick up.

This years not been too bad but last year was terrible. The number of cars round town and on the motorway with number plates covered in dirt. Which can be fined by the police.

Here's my picture from last year

I'll update this years picture when the dirt builds up.

I've had a dose of filthy cars this past few days.

Monday, drove my freshly washed car 90 miles to the dealer, absolutely filthy when I got there. Came home in a clean BMW 2-series, dirty when I got home. Went up to Inverness on Wednesday, absolutely filthy when I got home. Washed it before taking back to the dealer on Thursday. Was white with road salt when I got there. Drove home in my clean car, white with road salt and filth when I got home, washed it again today.

Two clean cars on Monday, both have had two washes since then.

I remember driving my car from Edinburgh to Leicester and it was in March 13. I had it washed in Edinburgh and drove to Leicester in a single journey only stopping once at Preston for five minutes. It took me 3 hours at 70mph all the way and I only used a quarter tank to fuel. Was a good record for me. The car was still clean when I got back home. No dirt grime nothing. I can home from the M6. Someone told told me to avoid the mountain pass which would have brought me home from the north east but they said the snow from the mountains and rear wheel drive with no winter tyres at the time would be dangerous.

I wish I could drive further up into Scotland
It's a beautiful country not only just to drive in. Very scenic roads I saw and met wonderful people.

Gotta love the tourings with winter dirt especially during Xmas time!
Nice pic! Tourings being used as they should!

Best thing about the cars looking like this is getting the snow foam out and giving them a good detail....!! The downside is the frostbite you get in doing so!

Why would the driven axle make any difference to how dirty a car gets?
