I drove a F10 528 (old motor) briefly and it was pretty slow when i punched it but the interior was amazing.

Drive the 550 for yourself. To me 550 has way more power than the 335 albeit not so great at handling than the 335.

I did the switch from E90 335i to 535i. The F10 definitely feels like a much bigger car, a few observations:

- The engine is very smooth, I much prefer the clutch feel of the F10.
- It is deceptively fast, but not as fast as the 335i due to the extra weight, I'm planning to get the Dinan tune when it becomes available
- The interior is much more refined than the 335i. Lot more room in the back.
- Not much more leg room in the front unfortunately due to the shape of the center console, bad design IMHO.
- I don't have the sport/M package, so I'm stuck with the softer suspension, but I think it fits the personality of the car.
- Excellent family car and for long trips, it's designed for the autobahn
- Disclaimer: we have an E92 M3 as well as an alternative when we want to have more fun

The 535 is more comfy overall... I do miss the sporty feeling from the 335 though. For daily driving, the 535 is a lot more comfortable in LA traffic.
I regret trading in my 2009 335iA for my 535iA F11 Wagon.
535 isnt that funny to drive. Its heavier. It got Adjustable suspension wich cost 30,000 krona Sweden money. Dollar is about 6 krona a dollar.
335 was more fun. 535 is more comfort. I feel like an old man when driving the 535i cos it gets the feel in from me to drive slow. Cruising. I get bored.
If i press the sport button it is faster and really corners very good. But I miss my 3 series. BUT the N55 engine is better faster and gets more mileage and NO turbolag. It pulls from low 1100 rpms! That engine in a new 335
BUT one more thing the new 8 speed sport automatic is awesome in my 535i. It helps keeping me feel not so bad.

Be sure to drive the 535i too so you can judge for yourself. To my butt dyno the car doesn't "feel" as fast as the 335i, but I think the car is sneaky fast since it is so quiet. The exhaust note is basically gone in the 535i... very different than the 335i.
Yes I miss the exhaust blurr from my 335i 2009. The 535i is more quiet.

Congrats to the E92 M3 for more fun. It must be rewarding to drive. Very refined car indeed.

Partially is my thing. BUT the law is no good. We have 55 mph here. And on highway motorway it is 69 mph. Not good to get speeding tickets all the time.
License get lost. Sheriff is no friend exactly.
Better to drive nice car with less HP like 535i like I have. It doesnt make you go crazy often. Calma is better way of life. I love speed believe me. I have been chased by cops a whole summer for not stopping abiding a law enforcement car.

I am Il Bruto here. The society has no room for us. It is this and it is that.
We get pissed. I love speed and performance and street racing. But it was back in the day. I drive my 535iA it is comfy and secure on curbtaking. Not so nice littel car as 335i I had before but it doesnt challenge me. Why do we have these morons tell us what to do? Go 70 on a highway? It is devastating.
We fell asleep!

Go faster and you fell more agile and alert. Really. Try it!
