Is it "Just Me", or..

Ok so my wife says its just me, but I think this guys being a real ass and doing this on purpose.

So I commute to work but drive to my local metro station. There's about 10 people there, all BMWs of various flavor ranging from late 90's to 2015 , we all park next to each other which presents a very nice picture of well kept vehicles. We've been able to keep this going for the better half of 2 years.. All of a sudden now there's this Dodge Challenger that keeps breaking up the scenery. Not only does this dude have a POS dodge, but he parks his POS in a manner as to purposely block two spots ie. he parks about 8-10 inches over the line. How do I know he's doing it on purpose; he used to park in the inner spots of the garage as to where we park are all on the outside next to the retaining wall, now he's parking in between the bimmers when he has plenty of space elsewhere?

Well, does anyone else think it's just me, or am I right in saying this dudes being a jerk? I know he can technically park wherever, but c'mon you just have to park all jacked up between a set of BMWs?

Ok, he can park wherever he wants, (even if it's a "POS Dodge"), but he shouldn't be using up multiple spots. Unless you're paying for specific parking spots, I don't see a reason to be mad.

hes doing it on purpose, i dont get why people do this
I had this happen to me at my old office building, I parked in the back, I never drove like an ass when getting in, parked properly, I just wanted to be away from everyone, and there was always some asshole that would park their pos next to mine in the back with multiple spots all over.

I stopped driving as much my bmw to work and started to drive my shitty Ford Ranger and parking like an ass next to those that did that, blocking doors and what not, I didnt care for that 1500$ truck so yea, made me feel better "Maybe it was just me tho" haha

This happens to me but not overly often. I'll purposefully go allll the way back to the parking lot of HEB or Target or whatever JUST so nobody needs to be back by me, and I don't take up two spots, park close to the lines, whatever, and sure enough someone will park RIGHT to where it's hard to open my door just because.
I guess little broke people get a kick out of this. I take it as a compliment, because you know they're leaving telling someone they parked next to this badass BMW just to annoy them. You gotta feel for the little people like that lol.

Does that Mopar have the BMW headlights kit on it? I'd leave a note asking where he got it done, just because you can lol. Those are such a terrible design. They didn't even try not to rip us off.

He's definitely doing it to be an ass. This $hit happens to me a lot. I always park way out and some POS will be right next to my car when they're a bunch of much closer spots. These people must really have bankrupt lives when this is how they get their rocks off.

Ask him how he enjoys driving his Fiat.

It's funny, once or twice, several times and two parking sports, he's also being a massive douche. Got a reaction out of you though, which is I guess what he wanted.

It's also a little funny that 10 BMWs park next to each other for a long period of time. I mean, given perceived "BMW owner" cliche out there, you had to know that someone will do something like this sooner or later.

He absolutely has the right to park wherever he wants as long as not taking two spots - between 10, 50 or even 100 BMW's - I don't see your beef - but since it bothers you this much, one or more of the ten of you should confront him and question his intent; expect tension, however.

Alternatively, call the local police station (not 911) on your commute to work and inform them that the vehicle routinely takes up two spots. Maybe he'll return to a ticketed and/or booted car. Mission accomplished. Or if it's a private lot, there may be signs for the authorized towing company; call them; they'll be happy to hear from you. Contact the lot owner as a last resort.

Take and post some photos of his shenanigans while you're at it and keep us posted.

Good luck!

It's him! Think he's just trying to piss you off. But like mentioned earlier it's public parking but if there's a Parking Lot Attendant I would inform them of him double parking. I'm like some of you tho...I park in no-mans land and there's always that one D-Bag who Parks right next to you with his piece of $hit car too!

When I was an angry young teenager, I drove a ford pinto wagon. I worked my butt off and I just couldn't understand how people could afford a nice car.

Maybe this poor chap works his butt off too but his wife has other priorities than a nice car. Or, maybe he is taking care of an older or younger person and feels trapped by the obligations society thrusts upon him.

Then, imagine for a moment, after breaking his balls day in and day out, taking care of a few dependents he comes upon your clique's shiny batch of beauties and he is just awful frustrated by the obligations and rewards of his life verses your obligations and rewards.

So, he acts out. Desperately trying to send a message---whatever that is.

I wouldn't block his message because he is likely to escalate it in ways that you may not like.

Really, the best thing you could do is to acknowledge his message and not ignore it. You can do this by telling your clique to park normally or at least away from each other for a month or so.

Once he realizes his win, you can go back to parking in your clique and he will probably forget about it.

I truly don't have a problem with the dude and his Dodge, I have a problem with his style of parking. it would be different if he'd just park right, that way I would just think he beat someone to a spot and didn't want his car all dinged up, but that's not the case.

So the argument rather discussion with the wife; I'm right. I'm with you BMWrules, this guy is acting out, my problem is I don't know how angry this guy is going to get. I'm sure parking all jacked up between the likes of an M4, and an F10 M, is proving some kinda point for him..

It sounds like it is just a jealous person.

I have had people in the past on my E46 M3 slash my tire, put water bottles in the wheel wells, pour some type of harsh chemical all around the car & dent the door of my driver's side pretty hard. All different locations... However, the issues have subsided ever since the following generation came out.

The M3 is the only car I have owned that has been vandalized... Thankfully no issues with all the rest of the cars we own.

Maybe he moved over and parks like that because somebody in his old spot damaged his car. He could just be looking for safety by nice cars that people care about.

Wrong, you're never "right" in an argument with the wife, even when you actually are.

To quote Chris Rock: "women just don't let little thing like common sense f.... up their argument". You have better chance of becoming a friend with the guy in this Dodge than being "right" with your wife.

Hi folks, on using more 2 spaces I agree, but you should see it from a positive side, it is obvious his worried about his car to the point of breaking the rules on space used! But parking with BM folks is more like a complement he trust you folks care about not damaging other cars, and he/she feel secure around you folks.
I also rather have a dodge with a guy that look after it next to me.

Any photo from this morning?

Would also be nice to see the neat range of BMW's, whether or not the Dodge is included.

Please post. Thanks!

a ten car line of BMW's all together in a little click is really a bit much for a lot of people.
I think someone should just leave him a note asking that he perhaps be considerate and park in the lines, but he is welcome to part among the little click. maybe explain this sort of came together as a joke but we in turn look out for each others cars, and if is welcome to be part of the group.

No I actually destroyed my phone yesterday... not that there is a coincident, just was careless and left it on my sun roof as I was digging my key out of my suit jacket. I drove off but when I made a right turn onto my exit route.. it slid off into traffic. Needless to say, my phone was run over several times and is gone (rip).. I will when my new phone gets in take a picture... It's not always the same BMWs but a nice spread

Douche-mobiles or 'bro' cars =
1. mustang
2. dodge challenger
3. dodge charger
4. chevy camaro
5. corvette
6. rarely seen nowadays but dodge viper

I get this sh*t on the daily around these parts. Just this morning, a mustang gt guy saw me and peeled out and made this huge seen. Douche part of it was that this all happened in front of an elementary school at 8am when there were tons of parents with kids walking. You go Ryan Lochte.
