My new 2014 LCI F10 in Space Grey
It finally arrived this morning, picked her up with 3 miles on the clock.
2014 LCI 520d MSport Space Grey with Oyster leather Options - M Sport Plus Pack - 19" 351 alloys Sun Protection Glass - finishes the look of the MSport Harmon Karden 500w HiFi - sounds fantastic Pro media Enhanced bluetooth Multi Function Display - what an awesome piece of kit, well chuffed! Ambient Lighting - exterior handle lights are a lovely finishing touch. Coming out of an identical SG E60, I am staggered at how much better this car is. I have only done 70 miles, but the build quality, ride, gizmo's are all a very pleasant surprise. Here are some piccies - enjoy |

Very nice Piers, loving the colour and that interior really suits. When I'd read you'd spec'd Oyster I thought you were bonkers but it looks great.
So pleased I've gone for the Multi-function as well, quite a show piece. Can't wait for mine to arrive now, feeling left out! I'm technically not even a BMW owner at the moment as a fellow board member bought my E90 on Friday leaving me with nothing but a humble Ford Focus on the driveway. Keep the pics and reviews coming.....

I'm soooo jealous of you Euro guys and the Multi-funcion displays!! We here in the U.S. always get the "step-siblings" version of these cars. Grrr.
Oh, and congrats!! |

Congrats Piers, that looks lovely and the sun was out for you too!
That colour scheme looks really nice and the multifunction display is great isn't it. I also noticed last night that the LED lights look very cool at night time. Enjoy putting a few miles on it. I was out and about yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed every mile I drove. The MSport is a lovely ride, form and responsive without breaking your back like an S-Line Audi!!! |

Soon as I saw it in its glass box at the dealer's I knew it was the right choice. The grey is already "business suit" as someone on here put it, so the interior is like wearing a coloured tie, which I do with a dark suit!! I am out and about alot this week, so will update as I find things, but already so chuffed with what I have found so far - did I mention the MFD? haha!! The auto handbrake to stop creep, saving you keeping your foot on the brake pedal in traffic, when not in park is a cool unexpected addition, over the pre LCI I believe. Anyone know where I can get a BMW coat hanger for the back of the seat, without the ridiculous BM price tag |

Having spent the day in the car today, is really is awesome.
The MFD is the best £510 ever spent - so much info, sat nav in the middle, iPod in the rev counter when needed. Just lovely. Ride is firm but fair, no adaptive suspension for me! It rides beautifully. The 8 speed auto, they have got this down to a fine art now, smooth changes almost imperceptible. Still got to master the auto handbrake vs stop/start. To cap my day off, a lady in the petrol station said how lovely it looked!! |

Looks great, in contrast to the price of some of the other options it does seem to be quite reasonable.
So does the 520d MSport LCI Auto with sport paddles have the Comfort + and Sport + I've seen in other vids? Can anyone give a brief explanation as to what the all do?

Would be interesting to know the exact differences between the gearboxes. I mean is there a mechanical difference or is it just software? I have been wondering why they changed the specs between the previous model and the LCI. Maybe it's to do with the increased Eco credentials on the 520d which has enabled them to drop the Efficient Dynamics version of the 5 altogether?
