Is the headlight washer nozzle covered under CPO?
Hey guys I have CPO 2012 528 (F10) and recently on my right side the headlight washer just spits out water when I use the windshield wipers. does anybody know a replacement would be covered under the CPO warranty?
Thanks , Victor |

yes it's only happening when the headlights are on. but only the right side shoots liquid like a fountain, all the way to the hood and windshield. the drivers side is just spraying the headlight!

Your car's original bumper to bumper is pretty much extended until the CPO warranty is up. In fact, I would ask the SA where exactly it states that this is not covered. OR, just go to another dealer. This of course assumes that your car was not in an accident in the past & etc.

instead of taking your warranty and making things contentious, I would develop that relationship with my SA. because the washer is not covered under cpo, major components like engine, trans, etc are covered - not the headlight washer. however, if you have a good relationship with your SA, they can handle just about anything small like that, and even help be your advocate if something major happens. ask him what he likes to drink, and bring him a bottle, or ask him where he likes to eat and bring him a gift card.

I know they've changed CPO slightly few years ago but am not sure of exact details. For example one thing (I think about two years ago) is no more deductible for any CPO work. I might be different US Vs. Canada, and I unfortunately cannot offer more concrete details, but I thought that it's either identical to bumper to bumper or pretty close to it. From personal experience with my car and several friends who own CPO cars, I cannot think of a single issue that was taken care that would fall under bumper to bumper but not CPO. |

Apologies, I was confusing the cpo with the extended maintenance plan a bit. But I think a lot of times it depends on your relationships within the dealer. Ive had CPO cars in the past and have definitely had small things like that done with a little convincing to my sales advisor. As others have stated, cpo isnt all that comprehensive, and a maintenance plan helps greatly

It would be interesting to see which of these aren't covered in original "bumper to bumper". I bet you some would make the list too. There might be some difference between what's covered in US Vs. Canada. Few items on that list that I had done on my car were all covered by CPO. Not sure how accurate this document is (for sure deductible has been removed), but it seems Canadian CPO has less restrictions than document you posted. http://www.bmw.ca/content/dam/bmw/ma...4131437787.pdf |
