Dry Carbon Interior Trim

I was browsing Instagram and came across a company called AutoTecknic. I searched their website for F10 products and noticed they had the following: "AutoTecknic Dry Carbon Fiber Interior Trim".

The description states:

"These dry carbon fiber interior trims will let you keep your original BMW interior trims and enjoy the aesthetics of carbon fiber at the same time!

Each piece comes with genuine 3M adhesive for an easy and straight-forward installation."

Does anyone have any knowledge on this? I'm VERY interested in this because I won't have to take off the original trim.

No personal experience, but I looked into them when buying my mirrors and found about 50/50 positive and negative reviews. Most common issue seems to be poor fitment.

But looking at my f10 trims, it seems like adding another layer to it, plus the thickness of 3M tape, would stick out a decent amount. Dfinitely an expensive risk at $800, but OEM is over twice that so options are limited. Hopefully someone with experience will chime in, but if you google "autotecknic review" you'll see a few threads with photos showing poor fitment

I have their Carbon Fiber Grills and quality was spot on! But regarding the interior seems pretty expensive for some cover pieces

Would wrapping the trim be a better idea?

That would be my vote, that way nothing's sticking out or fitting poorly. Plus it's dirt cheap and easily removed if you hate it

+2 for vinyl wrap. It's pretty easy to diy if you take your time. Materials are really cheap and there are quite a few awesome cf options out there both in gloss and matte cf. I personlly like the matte cf and have used the 3m dinoc matte cf on my e46 m3 and f30.
