Air Leak in Door

Need a favor from you guys. I have discovered that when I have my sunroof open....just the feature where the back portion is tilted, I have an air leak coming through my Drivers door "pull open" handle. After having the car 3 weeks, I just now noticed it in the fact that my left leg was getting pretty cold in the morning commute. I thought it was some kind of weird draft in the car, but discovered a definate stream of air coming through where the door hande hinge is located.

Could you experiment for me to see if you have the same condition?

I think the fix would be to pull the plastic handle surround off and either locate a misplaced foam insert, or put one in to block this air. Not a real big deal, but I do sometimes like to have the sunroof vent open...but after a while the cold air gets annoying.

Thanks

For whatever it's worth, a co worker at lunch yesterday confirmed that the passenger door handle also had some air coming in when the sunroof was cracked open. The vacuum created by the sunroof obviously creates this dynamic and is probably the same for all our cars.

Doesn't sound right to me; it could be poor sealing around the door frame.
I don't have a sunroof, but I'll crack open a rear window next time I'm out and let you know what happens.

Tried with the rear window cracked open and no draughts from either front door - suggest you return to the dealer.

Thanks guys,

The more I think about it, is probably just a quirk of the design and is "Normal". As with Lacaster, my leak is very slight.

I'm gonna guess if you plug one, there will be others. Likely a never ending journey but I'll guess it's the location of this leak that is the true problem.

I have the same issue.

Noticed a cold draft by by my right hand and leg when sunroof is open at stage 1.

Also the swooshing sound of car tyres on wet roads seems to permeate in to the otherwise near silent cabin.
