Avoid the N63?

Hey all, given the lengthy thread on the N63 customer care package, does it then make sense to just, as a current buyer, avoid is altogether? Lot's of good deals on those cars but maybe it's worth spending the extra to get the TU.

It depends on the deal. If you can get an N63 cheap enough, it may be worthwhile. The tu is still new so there are no guarantees it's not going to have it's own issues - hopefully not.

i wouldn't say avoid it. Just know what you're getting into. Then ask yourself "Can I afford this?"

Avoid it. Get the TU.

Look, it's not about whether you can "afford it" - it's also about whether you want to "deal with it." Time is money, as they say, but it's also a huge inconvenience if your car leaves you in a bind and it messes with your plans.

But as I mentioned above, there are no guarantees that the tu is going to be any more reliable.

Winner!

AMG M178 power plant appears to be the only design that addresses the heat issue in these motors with a separate fan that cools the valley out of all the V turbo motors from Audi, Bentley, Ford, BMW and Mercedes.
