Ugh tried to program the garage remote to the BMW and for the life of me couldn't get it to work! I got as far as programming the remote to the car but I couldn't get it to link with the door opener. Anyone successful with this? All the YouTube videos make it look so easy

Bro...how did you crack your wheel?

Oh, i also learned that module i found when i swapped my rear bumper was the module for the TPMS. when i disconnected it and drove earlier this morning i had a TPMS warning and would not finish resetting the TPMS.

If you have a rolling code opener it's a ROYAL PAIN!!! You will have to use the instructions from the opener. Holding the remote up to the Homelink won't work. IIRC, mine was something like press the learn button on the head unit, push the button in the car until the door moves, go back and press the learn button again, spin left 3 times, spin right 4 times while patting your head... This only works if the full moon is in the first week of the month.

Also, how many TOTAL remotes do you have programmed? Both of my openers will accept only 5 remotes.

I have 2 remotes all together so making the BMW makes 3...wonder if that's my issue or maybe the full moon...*uck!

blacked out grill and chrome

Got impatient waiting to get replacement parts and bought a can of Rustoleum black plastic spray, $6. Was pretty easy, took about an hour with half hour drying time. When I have the funds I get new wheels, currently unemployed. Get good tape and coat to the tape for easy peeling, goof off removed residual tape adhesive and plastic coat well.

Got my roof, side roof panels, and roof spoiler all wrapped gloss black yesterday! I love it I've been getting compliments ever since and most of them are from people who I wouldn't even expect to notice. Best part was the awesome price. I paid $220 for all of it. Next on my list is to wrap the ugly chrome window trim and put quad exhausts because it looks horrible with just the opening on the right side of the diffuser empty.

yea! Finally placed my order!

My car would've been probably completed a couple years ago but balancing between my two builds and deciding which parts were priority is what delayed things for the BMW. $hits just expensive when it comes to lifting a truck! I'll probably use the truck to tow the BMW to MPACT in August

Its 50/50 on the towing? The turnpike (freeway) isn't the greatest when i drove from Ohio to New York. Even in my truck it sounded pretty bad hitting potholes out of nowhere and I'll be driving at night so i won't really see them. Plus im on 21's so i just paid $545 to have one of the wheels repaired when the wife curbed the front wheel

For me it was the timing the was important (I was able to get it working for my car, but not the wife's X5). Press both the button in your car that you want to program and the remote at the same time, hold them both down until the yellow LED in your rear view mirror goes from blinking to solid. It should take less than 30 seconds, let go of both and then press the button in your car 2 times.

Hold down the button in your car and it should open. If I just press and release, it does nothing
