Hi Ramorab,
Sorry to hear that! In the UK at least the colour code is A90 Sophisto Grey Xirallic? Is that what you meant? Or are you looking for some other code? |

So sorry to hear about the damage to your car. Send an email to these guys and ask them about the paint and sources for Lima, Peru.
http://www.ppg.com/coatings/autooem/...oduct_mex.aspx This is a support contact for Mexico and South America. PPG is a well known supplier of automotive finishes for the OEM (fabricantes) and the collision repair industry. I would bet that they can point you to the right color code and possible supplier in Lima. |

Mechanics and Repairs, Lima Peru
Hey I just bought a 330i second hand, needs some paint work and also a service, plus some repairs. I can't find anyone who can recommend somewhere decent other than the main BMW shop here which is way over priced. I want someone / somewhere really good though, love this car, and it's running really well just has a few fixer upper items to do, plus the scuffs and scratches in paint work.

I'm interested too. Are you looking for a spray can or touch-up paint? I got some A90 touchup paint from ebay.co.uk for a bumper scratch and it's a complete mismatch...

Correct, changed because the shiny Xirallic flakes needed for A90 were only produced in Japan and production was brought to a standstill after the earthquake and tsunami.
Colour was reformulated without them to B90

I thought they resumed production months ago? Or is B90 permanently superseding A90?

The plant is near is in Fukushima where the Nuclear problems still persists. A new European plant is being constructed but still some way away. Only colors using a small amounts of Xirallics are back, but ones like A90 use a lot so will have to wait for more supplies to come onstream. Lots of colors from many manufacturers have been affected and many cancelled A lot of the current supply is also being directed to the paint used to repair cars that already have Xirallic paint rather than factory paint
