What flash for N63tu 550i are you running?

I snagged a 2015 550i as a daily driver and don’t live in Arizona anymore, so getting a hold of ESS has been tough, and looking at other options for flash tunes. While I spent some time searching, there seems to be few 3rd party dynos, track times or comparisons for the f10 550i stuff (silly to compare manufacturer claims against other manufacturer claims), but I am leaning towards bootmod3 and a set of Downpipes for now. The last time I was on here with a f10 was a while ago and only a couple shops were flashing these cars, where as now it seems quite a few are doing it, and with successful results. If any shops are reading this, we have 91 octane and plenty of e85 here so I will likely be running a mix of the fuels (e30 blend), downpipes, and if it’s still too quiet, I will probably weld an x pipe and pair of mufflers in to give it some grumble. It won’t ever see a track, and maybe gets driven 5,000 miles a year, I just want it to be fun for some spirited driving and trips back to Arizona a couple times a year.

I am not interested in a jb3, or any other piggy back, just flash tunes.

I think you'll find that most people are running bm3. The FB forum (bootmod3) is active, support from both PTF and the community is great. There are N63TU posts into that group, every day or two.

fwiw I purchased bm3 maybe 6 months ago on a 2015 550i xdrive, running stage 1, 91 oct, the most recent 5.2 OTS maps.. my logs are posted to FB, but if you want to see them lmk. no complaints at all, very happy with the tune, company, and support

I'm running BM3 as well on my 550i.

I recently had an error code related to a thin mixture warning, so I contacted BM3 to make sure it wasn't something with the tune causing the error code. Their techs. were very helpful, even screen sharing with me to look at my tune in depth to see if they could see an issue, however, it turns out it was a known BMW issue BMW fixed for free at my dealership. The moral of my story; BM3 has great performance, great customer service and I would recommend them.

I ended up ordering BM3 and a set of downpipes from Mike at X-PH... excited to put them on!

Can vouch for this one.. pretty damn great for stock turbos/intercoolers and a matching exhaust setup will not let you down

Garage List
BM3

I picked that up when the car was stock and ran Stage 1 91 Oct, it added a nice amount of motivation. But the engine went (unrelated, most likely a clogged oil passage). When I had the new engine put in I had catless downpipes put on and just moved to the Stage 2 91 Oct AGG tune, and it moves.

I'm looking at xHP trans tunes now, wondering what that would do for me. Or possibly a custom tune through BM3. But if I go that route I probably want to replace the sensors to read more boost.
