High pitched tone
I put this here because it's in the engine compartment. Anyone have any idea what this tone is? The dealer and I have been trying to chase this down for just over 3 years. They can't duplicate as it's quite intermittent.

VERY bizarre scenario... Been out driving engine bay hot. Once cool air, like when I open the garage door, hits the bay, the noise starts. Close door, noise stops. Open door, starts again. This can happen 1 hour after arriving home or 3 hours, there is no rhyme, reason or consistency.

If I had one and were it seized it wouldn't last 3 years. I would imagine I would have overheating issues also.

All i can say is the noise sounds like a seized pump to me. I am comparing it to pumps i come across at work which are pool pumps, pond pumps, and irrigation pumps. |
