Anthracite Headliner Option Gone!

My second favorite option on my silver 535 is the anthracite headliner (the favorite is of course the sweet 6 speed manual). I noticed that on BMW's website the anthracite stand alone option ($500) last year is no longer available in 2012. The only way to get it is to order either the sport package or Msport package. It appears that more options are being bundled rather than sold alone.

Weird, because here in Europe you can even get alcantara anthracite headliner now.

Yeah I wish I could have ordered the Alcantara Anthracite on my 2012 550i. I have Alcantara headliner in my Lexus GS.

But I got a lot of nice options Nappa leather dash, extended Oyster-Black Nappa, Ceramic controls.

I noticed that too. I wasn't going to get Sport and instead get other options. However I really wanted the black headliner because I ordered Oyster / Black interior and I thought it would be a nice combo. So effectively the black headliner ended up costing me $3,600 on the 2012 I ordered. Originally the $500 option was a priority 1 feature so you would have had to order it that way if you wanted it. I'm leasing my car so this wasn't an option for me but for those buying, I'm told switching out the headliner is only like $1000 if you want to go that route.
