Work not stated on Repair Orders
How does everyone handle situations when you know the dealer has performed work, but they do not state same on your repair order (i.e.: software updates or setting changes)?
On my visit to replace my driver's side sun visor this past Friday, I told my service advisor I did not want any other work performed, but earlier tonight I realized something WAS changed - my phonebook list now lists contacts followed by contact descriptions in parenthesis (i.e.: (home), (work), (mobile)); previously it listed contact names only, where I would have to drill down into the contact and then select from home, work, mobile, etc. – the original setup being more efficient and less cluttered; though my concerns are less about this specific change and more about my pulling to the right problem and whether or not "Straight Ahead Driving" has been installed through iRAP. I have the same issue with BMW HK. I brought my car in to install a spoiler. When I picked up my car after a few days, I found out they updated my software without letting me know.
It screwed my phonebook and at the same time they disabled my album artwork. They said headquarters instructed them to disable album artwork due to "copyright issues." They advertised this feature when they were selling me the car now after I paid they retrieve it. Insane! |
