What is the difference between Guide center, Rear (pos 8 below) part # 51127906292 and # 51127184766?

The first # is for the M-sport and the second is for the std rear bumper. Are there any physical differences that necessitates changing to the M-sport version?

I did not compare them side by side, so I do not have a definitive answer. Is it possible that the M Sport bumper slightly deeper and needs a slightly larger connective piece?

How much did full conversion cost? (not including labor)

For the rear bumper cover and other parts, my expense was about $900. The paint and installation (labor) cost another $300. I don't know what the breakout is between labor and materials for the paint and install as it was a single charge.

To the untrained eye the regular, msport, and ///M bumpers look the same but IMHO the ///M bumper looks WAY better

Yep, minor differences on the rear compared to the dramatic changes for the front bumpers. For the rear, from base to M-Sport, the changes are the rear reflector mounting being higher up the bumper and a removable diffuser. The removable diffuser seems to be a common reason for the change from base to M-Sport. Lot's of folks use that opportunity to install quad-tip exhaust systems and the ///M diffuser or something patterned after it.

I just completed the rear M-sport bumper swap and part 51127906292 (number 8) is definitely not needed as the bumper had no issues mating to the factory part. Hope this helps someone out in the future.

Time to return the part back to the dealer...

Looks great. M Sport rocker panels next? Are you running M351 wheels or something else?
